What is Christianity?

It is the religion based on "Jesus Christ" the living sacrifice, and sacred Christian scripture (Bible). 

Homosexuality : Is the enduring patterns of emotional , romantic , and/ or sexual attractions towards same-sex.

Homosexuality is highly controversial topic within Christian community and the need for choosing this particular topic was to explore Christians perspective about homosexuality from lenses of Christian scriptures who are considered as sinners and to find why they can't be accepted by Pastors in congregation considering homosexuality worst of all sins. Being Christian I wasn't mentally prepared or I should say I was frightened to choose this topic, worried to be questionable for my own existence, but under the guidance of  my research guide Dr. Reshma Bhown I got the courage to choose this topic anyhow. This study made me realize that there exists dire need to unite the people of faith irrespective of the preferences and choices they make in their lives also when God created everyone in his own image , discriminating in no way so who are we?  Within Christian Community I've seen congregational prejudices , homophobia and other conflicts too also I'm hurt to see gut wrenching pain, darkness , hatred and kind of humiliation homosexual individuals face hiding their true existence , all sorts of conflicts they face abandon them from the society and religious indulgence ultimately forcing them to become sinners. Bible condemns homosexuality and Pastor's truly believe that uniting and accepting homosexuals will ruin church decorum, principles and  Christianity would come to downfall, but there are very few scriptures which clearly condemn homosexuality. To explore Christians perspective google form was created and circulated amongst Christian homosexual and straight individuals of my own church and other churches too. Reflection of participants acknowledged the need of bridging the sexual and religious identities also homosexuality is preference or one's own choice and shouldn't be confused as demonized or possessed people upon which pastors can pray, instead welcoming and accepting them would ultimately please God as because they are God's master creation different in no way and hence there's a dire need for accepting, embracing and relishing God's so special creation, love is beautiful no matter how it is expressed , difference doesn't have to mean sin. However integrating and uniting people of faith is no doubt honoring and saluting God's presence within people.
